White Sox Promote 2010 First-Rounder Chris Sale to Triple-A
Wow that was fast! According to chicagobreakingsports.com, the Chicago White Sox have promoted 2010 First-Round pick Chris Sale (selected 13th overall) all the way up to Triple-A Charlotte.
Sale made his debut with the Class-A Advanced Winston-Salem Dash, making just 4 appearances. It's a little surprising to see Sale move so quickly, but according to the article "The White Sox weren't kidding when they thought that No. 1 pick Chris Sale had a shot at reaching the majors this season as a reliever."
Hopefully they see his long-term potential as more than just a bullpen guy, but I guess being in the thick of a playoff race in the AL Central has the White Sox focused on this year. With Jake Peavy now out for the year, let's hope fellow prospect Daniel Hudson is able to help pick up the slack.
