- Today's Prospect Video of the Day features Colorado Rockies 3B Nolan Arenado hitting an RBI single for the Salt River Rafters during the 2011 Arizona Fall League.
- MinorLeagueBall.com's John Sickels examines the career path of former top New York Mets prospect OF Fernando Martinez. Martinez was recently placed on waivers by the Mets and was claimed by the Houston Astros, the first team that had a chance to claim him. It's a bit shocking that the Mets decided to just completely give up on the former highly touted prospect.
- The Chicago White Sox signed free agent RHP Luis Martinez to a $250,000 bonus, according to Baseball America's Ben Badler. Martinez, a 16-year-old out of Venezuela, marks the systems first major international signing since luring Marco Paddy (Toronto's former director of Latin operations) away from the Blue Jays.
- Yesterday, Baseball America ranked the Top 10 Prospects in the Chicago White Sox organization, naming RHP Addison Reed #1.
