Tim Beckham Hits First Career MLB Home Run (VIDEO)

(Apr 12/2015)

Tim Beckham hit his first Major League home run last night. You can watch the video for yourself below.

Beckham was drafted 1st overall by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft. Beckham has progressed slowly through the minors since then, and after getting a cup of coffee in 2013, Beckham will get his first extended look with the Rays in 2015.

I've seen Beckham hit a couple bombs in person during minor league games, first when he took Dellin Betances deep while playing for the Triple-A Durham Bulls against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in 2011. Roughly two months later I saw Beckham crush this home run in the Arizona Fall League while playing for the Surprise Saguaros. Beckham also ripped this two run double against Gerrit Cole during that Arizona Fall League season.
